Oscarlicious!

Hola Amigos!

I am beyond excited for Sunday, I realise the ceremony doesn't start until 1.30am UK time but I am going to jack myself up on Lucozade in an attempt to troop through to the end!

This post is just a quick one to give the my predictions of who I think will win awards.

To follow will be reviews of 'Brighton Rock' and 'True Grit'. Also a little bit of Trailer Trash will be thrown in for good measue...

PREDICTIONS

ACTOR IN A LEADING ROLE - Colin Firth - The Kings Speech / Jeff Bridges - True Grit

(I want Firth to get his hands on the award, but the Academy completely bum Jeff Bridges and after seeing True Grit last night, I would say these two have a 50/50 chance of winning)

ACTOR IN A SUPPORTING ROLE - Christian Bale - The Fighter

ACTRESS IN A LEADING ROLE - Natalie Portman - Black Swan

ACTRESS IN A SUPPORTING ROLE - Melissa Leo - The Fighter / Hailee Steinfeld - True Grit

ANIMATED FEATURE FILM - Toy Story 3

ART DIRECTION - Inception

CINEMATOGRAPHY - True Grit

COSTUME DESIGN - Alice in Wonderland

DIRECTING - The one I haven't got a clue on! It could be any of them!

DOCUMENTARY (FEATURE) - Exit Through The Gift Shop

DOCUMENTARY (SHORT SUB) - Haven't seen any of them so I can't form an opinion.

FILM EDITING - 127 Hours

FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILM - Biutiful

MAKEUP -  The Wolfman

MUSIC (ORIGINAL SCORE) - 127 Hours/The Social Network

MUSIC (ORIGINAL SONG) - If I Rise - 127 Hours

BEST PICTURE - I can't decide! There are about 5 out of the 10 that I want to/think could win.

SHORT FILM (ANIMATED) - The Gruffalo

SHORT FILM (LIVE ACTION) - Again, I haven't seen them so I haven't got a formed opinion.

SOUND EDITING - Inception/True Grit

SOUND MIXING - The Social Network

VISUAL EFFECTS - Inception

WRITING (ADAPTED SCREENPLAY) - The Social Network

WRITING (ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY) - The King's Speech

Looking forward to seeing how Anne Hathaway and James Franco tackle presenting the 83rd Academy Awards! A little taster for ya'll...
