BAFTA Countdown...

Bonjourno!

I am anticipating an amazing BAFTAs ceremony this year, and the award, I personally, am interested in the most is 'The Orange Wednesdays Rising Star Award'.

There are five nominees left after Orange customers whittled down the longlist of eight.

The nominees for the award are:

Gemma Arterton (Quantum of Solace, Prince of Persia)

Andrew Garfield (The Social Network, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus)

Tom Hardy (Bronson, Inception)

Aaron Johnson (Nowhere Boy, Kick Ass)

Emma Stone (Superbad, Easy A)

Personally, I voted for Andrew Garfield. Even though I am a huge Tom Hardy fan (versatile as you like!) Garfield is fantastic in 'The Social Network' and in 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus'. Plus, if we are talking about a 'Rising Star', you can't get much more perfect than a young actor who only graduated from Drama School six years ago, has performed alongside fantastically establised actors and matched, if not, outperformed them, and has just bagged the lead role in one of the biggest film franchises in the world.

I am going to crawl out of his arse for a second to say that I think every one of these five are absolutely worthy of winning this acolade, and, if I'm honest, think Gemma Arterton will win...

She was fresh out of Drama School in 2007 when she snatched the role of Strawberry Fields in 'Quantum of Solace' and hasn't looked back since. She has balanced theatre and smaller budget films with blockbusters and is probably the obvious choice for the win.

But after Kristen Stewart winning it last year, thus damaging my soul slightly, I would like to be selfish and plea with Orange customers to vote for the Garf!
